Gastroscopy

Gastroscopy

At St. Marc, gastroscopy, also known as upper endoscopy is a key diagnostic and therapeutic procedure used to examine the inside of the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine (duodenum). This minimally invasive test is performed using a thin, flexible tube with a high-definition camera (endoscope) that allows our specialists to visualize, diagnose, and sometimes treat gastrointestinal issues in real time.

Gastroscopy is typically recommended to investigate symptoms such as persistent heartburn, abdominal pain, difficulty swallowing, nausea, vomiting, or unexplained weight loss.

Our experienced gastroenterologists at St. Marc perform gastroscopy with utmost care, ensuring patient comfort and safety at every stage from preparation to recovery. With our advanced equipment and expert team, you can feel confident you’re receiving the highest standard of gastrointestinal care.

Colonoscopy

The Anatomy and Pathology department at St. Marc plays a critical role in the diagnostic process by examining tissues, cells, and biopsies to detect abnormalities and disease. Our experienced pathologists utilize state-of-the-art microscopy and diagnostic techniques to identify conditions such as cancer, infections, inflammatory diseases, and more... The detailed pathological analyses provided by our team are essential for developing personalized treatment plans, monitoring disease progression, and guiding clinical decision-making. We emphasize accuracy and thoroughness, with results delivered in a timely manner to support urgent and ongoing care needs.

Colonoscopy is a vital procedure used to examine the inner lining of the colon (large intestine) and rectum. This minimally invasive diagnostic test is performed using a long, flexible tube with a tiny camera at the tip (colonoscope) that transmits real-time images to a screen, allowing our specialists to carefully inspect for abnormalities.

Colonoscopy is highly effective in detecting and preventing colorectal diseases, including colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), polyps, and sources of gastrointestinal bleeding. It is also commonly recommended for patients experiencing symptoms like chronic constipation, rectal bleeding, unexplained weight loss, or persistent abdominal discomfort.

At St. Marc, colonoscopies are conducted in a clean, supportive environment by experienced gastroenterologists using advanced equipment. Our goal is to provide you with a clear diagnosis, peace of mind, and proactive care for your long-term digestive health.
